STEVE MADDOCK
Coach Maddock comes to Fort Smith with over 20 years of professional, college and high school coaching experience. 7 years as a player, 3 as coach and 9 as a manager at the professional level. He was also owner/operator of his own baseball academy before focusing on managing again. His Bachelor of Science degree is from Howard Payne University
Buddy Mercado
- Hitting Coach
Buddy is one of the best baseball minds in the state. His teaching skills and ability to communicate with players of all levels are second to none. He coached at the University of North Alabama and Vanderbilt University before his professional career. His player development and scouting organizations include the Royals, Indians, Cubs, and was instrumental in the forming of the Arizona Diamondbacks. Coach Mercado sets a standard of excellence for players. He then coaches and guides them to hold that standard. His signature program the .400 club is used by high school, college, and MLB hitters today.

After graduating and playing at Emporia State University, Trevino got picked up and played for several Indy ball teams including Windy City Thunderbolts, Gateway Grizzlies, Edinburg, Harlingen, Coastal Bend and finishing up with McAllen Thunder. His coaching career started in
2012 after his playing career ended.
