We are the Fort Smith Marshals! We are a summer collegiate baseball team in the Mid America League. We are offering an exciting opportunity for current students to gain hands-on experience in sport management.
Position Overview:
We are seeking passionate, motivated interns to join our team for the summer season. As an intern, you will gain valuable exposure to various aspects of sports management, including game day operations, baseball operations, marketing, and social media. This is an unpaid internship. It is designed for academic credit and offers opportunities to develop practical skills in the sport management field.
Key Responsibilities: (Positions will vary based on individual student interest)
- Game Day Operations: Assist with coordinating gameday experience, including team logistics, fan engagement, and event setup and teardown.
- Baseball Operations: Help with player support, stats, player analysis, other aspects of day-to-day operations for the team.
- Marketing & Promotion: Support the development and execution of marketing strategies to promote team and engage the local community.
- Social Media: Assist with creating and posting content across social media platforms to increase visibility, drive engagement, and enhance fan experience.
Qualifications:
- Currently enrolled in a degree program related to sports management, marketing, business, or a similar field.
- Strong interest in sports and baseball management.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- A positive, enthusiastic attitude and willingness to learn.
